We received a mysterious call one day to the Reed Pages Magazine offices.
“JR is in NYC. Want to document him working?”
Answer: HELL YES.
What ended up happening was 48 very late hours with the man himself as he pasted his way through New York City. We’ll be showcasing the entire adventure in the next issue of Reed Pages. But in the meantime, here is a teaser. Thanks to the Reed Pages Team (Anna and Sho) as well as The Karolers for making this all happen!
“Dear Summer, I know you ‘gon miss me. Since we been together like Nike Air and crisp tees….”
Spring is gone. Summer is on the way out the door. That means it’s time for Reed Space to clear the shelves for incoming Fall goodies! That also means super savings for y’all. We’re having a huge sale at Reed Annex (in-store only, not online) with savings of up to 90% off retail! Stock up everyone. Damn, do your Holiday shopping now! The “End of Daze Sale” starts on Friday, August 19th at 1pm.
A lot people might just know this face as “that kid in the Supreme photo shoots”. But he’s a lot more than that. I literally watched Lucien grow up right before my eyes. His older sister used to work for Staple Design as a Production Designer and he was a wee tyke then. But I could tell by the look in his eyes that he had something special in him. He now attends the prestigious Cooper Union School of Art. An art school so selective, they only choose a handful of students each year…all of them able to attend completely for free.
When we did this project for REDU, I spent some time talking to different artists at different points in their life. Some established and O.G.s. Some on the fringes of the culture. And some, are The New School. Lucien is that. He’s finishing university, full of potential and trying to figure it all out. It’s exciting to see and I’m glad we’ll be able to witness what he could become.
