Darvin Silva has been the DJ you danced to at Reed events the last few times you came to party with us. He just dropped his first public mix in a year. 35 min of that shit! You’re gonna want this in your iTunes.

This was so cool. Such an authentic showing of the graff and handstyle culture. Shout to our friends at 12oz for the love.

Hardest thing out. Salute the mob!

Good friend of the space, Levi Maestro, continues to impress us – setting out to create a longstanding series of products we might think we’ve come to know already, yet adding a refreshing new twist. I got my first glimpse of the Infinity Piece on the wrist of the boss jeffstaple. Designey, I thought. Kind of interesting. When I finally got my own over a month ago, I put it on and just stared at it for a bit. Aesthetically speaking, it’s just beautiful. The genuine stingray band and brushed rose gold plated steel hits the light in a special way. I’ve worn it every day since.
Imagine a piece of jewelry that symbolized something. The idea that when you’re dedicated to what you love, time becomes irrelevant. The Infinity Piece was created to be a reminder that you can never spend too much time on the things you’re passionate about & that’s something that applies to everyone.

Here’s a good example of why I’m never into people saying things like there aren’t any good opportunities out there. Reputable NYC-happenings site, Gothamist, is looking to the city’s burgeoning writers for original work to be submitted, and brace yourself, they’re paying cash money.
We want original, compelling, heartbreaking, funny, enraging, enlightening work, written clearly and with an eye towards stories that cut through the dull hum of the internet—stories that help the reader better understand New York City and the people living in it.

Favorite record + video of the month. Shit is too smooth and just incredibly executed.
Atoms For Peace is the newly formed supergroup of sorts with Thom, along with Radiohead’s longtime producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Joey Waronker of Beck, and R.E.M. on drums. Their debut album Amok dropped February 25. Get it here.

About a week and a half ago news spread of the Colombia Records/Daft Punk alliance at lighting speed. A new label home means new album, right? Then the 15-second spot up top aired during SNL and the internet damn near exploded. It announces a sort of vintage disco feeling from the beloved electronic group. Instant classic if you ask me.
Stay tuned.
