Darvin Silva has been the DJ you danced to at Reed events the last few times you came to party with us. He just dropped his first public mix in a year. 35 min of that shit! You’re gonna want this in your iTunes.

This was so cool. Such an authentic showing of the graff and handstyle culture. Shout to our friends at 12oz for the love.
Check out their recap here.
Here’s a look at the artwork Christian P. Acker curated for the ‘Flip the Script’ book release. The show is up until the end of the month at Reed Space and a price list is available upon request.
Artist & Musician Alessandro Conti has given us an awesome yet bizarre look at some of his favorite Disney characters. Conti has taken several well known characters from the world of Disney to create this “Inhuman Anatomy” art series. Below are Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and Goofy illustrated with their insides showing, pretty dope! To check out more of his work visit his website

Good friend of the space, Levi Maestro, continues to impress us – setting out to create a longstanding series of products we might think we’ve come to know already, yet adding a refreshing new twist. I got my first glimpse of the Infinity Piece on the wrist of the boss jeffstaple. Designey, I thought. Kind of interesting. When I finally got my own over a month ago, I put it on and just stared at it for a bit. Aesthetically speaking, it’s just beautiful. The genuine stingray band and brushed rose gold plated steel hits the light in a special way. I’ve worn it every day since.
Imagine a piece of jewelry that symbolized something. The idea that when you’re dedicated to what you love, time becomes irrelevant. The Infinity Piece was created to be a reminder that you can never spend too much time on the things you’re passionate about & that’s something that applies to everyone.

SCOPE hosts art shows worldwide providing dozens of well respected galleries and emerging artists an international stage to display their contemporary art. Last week SCOPE was in New York City and I had the delightfully bewildering opportunity to take in some aesthetically pleasing and thought provoking pieces. Gallery owners, artists and more casual observers like myself shared their artistic insights amidst excited gasps and the occasional disapproving nose crinkle.

Brazilian artist Simone Kestelman sought to bring attention to the plight of female children in developing nations with this ceramic sculpture. Burdened by poverty and taught that girls/women are less valuable than boys/men, certain parents discard their female children wanting instead a male to carry on the family name and help them fiscally. Simone Kestelman seeks to bring awareness to situations in dire need of change while creating beautiful pieces.
The four works pictured above represent the tiniest fraction of art I enjoyed at SCOPE. I implore everyone who is able to attend SCOPE next time around. Day passes are a mere 20 bucks and with over 50 galleries curating mini shows, the value is incredible. Seriously, you guys. Shouts to Khari P. of Weldon Arts for putting me on!

Pieter ‘Parra’ surrounded by a mob of champagne wielding friends and eager fans at the opening of his show ‘Tracy Had a Hard Sunday’ last Saturday at Jonathan Levine Gallery. I highly recommend a stroll down to Chelsea to check it out before its closing on March 23rd.
New music from G.O.O.D. music’s own Pusha-T.

Wrath of Caine is Pusha’s appetizer to his soon to be released “My Name is My Name.” The mixtape does what a mixtape is supposed to do, generate a little bit of buzz, but NOT contain your best work. This does not ensure a great first album, however, now my expectations will not be too high. You can thank Peter LaFleur for that one. Any ways, download link bellow.
