BLACKTOP ASTRONAUTS
Talented Menswear designer Brian Wood is at it again with his Fall/Winter 2013 collection: Blacktop Astronauts. In this collection he blends high end aesthetics, synthetic materials and natural fibers for clean interesting pieces that are truly functional. Water Repellant Nylon is quilted with 3M Thinsulate Insulation and blended with Woolrich Melton Wool. HOME COOKING
Now the real basketball season begins. At least that’s what analysts and commentators say. However, there wasn’t much drama to be found, with the exception of a game being played a mile high (fitting given that it landed on April 20th). Each home team won this weekend. The last time this happened was in 2004, and sets up what will likely be a lackluster fist round (the 2004 playoffs had 7 of the 8 matchups ending in 5 games or less and since the NBA switched to best of 7 formats, home teams that have won game 1 win the series 86% of the time. At least we have the musings of Kobe Bryant during games via Twitter to keep us entertained.
