SUPER BOWL 50: WHO’S TAKING AN ‘L’ AT “SB L?”

SuperBowl50

In 2016, the NFL has reached an incredible milestone. American Football has seen 49 Super Bowls and we’re sure in for a titanic clash as Peyton Manning and the Broncos take on Cam Newton and the Panthers in San Francisco in the 50th edition of the championship round. The only question that remains is: “who will come out victorious?”

On one hand, we have one of the greatest arms in the league’s history, from a long line of incredible and successful champions, returning to the helm for what many fear his last game. Meanwhile, a young, energetic, and brilliantly talented young athlete is carrying not only his team to the promise-land, but also the attitude and resiliency of a new generation, has overcome obstacles and literally defied death to reach the Super Bowl. So who’ve you got coming out on top, the storied quarterback from a football bloodline or the fearless, dabbing new face of the NFL? These are our picks:

Tony: Carolina Panthers

Jennings: Denver Broncos

Eric: Carolina Panthers

Ted: Denver Broncos

jeffstaple: Carolina Panthers

Juan: Denver Broncos

Jimmie: DAB Newton and the Carolina DABThers

TOM COUGHLIN: A GIANT AMONGST GIANTS

new-york-giants-tom-coughlin-super-bowljpg-ac5e88a9995fde35

Tom Coughlin announced on Monday that he would be stepping down from his head coaching position with the New York Football Giants. In his 12-year coaching tenure with Big Blue, he amassed a 102 – 90 record viagra cialis combined (.531 win percentage), made 5 Playoff Appearences, and earned 2-Super Bowl Championship rings both of which were at the expense of Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.

By Week 13 in 2007 & 2011, the Giants’ seasons were filled wit uncertainty. somehow, behind the coaching of Coughlin, they came away viagraforsale-brandorrx with miraculous victories. No one thought they could accomplish what they did in those seasons especially not against the highly-favored duo of Belichick and Brady. viagra sample

It may have broken the hearts of a few fans to lose Coughlin but it certainly hit his players, past and present, the hardest. The 69-year old coach has been described as a father figure by Eli Manning, Victor Cruz, Justin Tuck and Hall of Famer Michael Strahan. This alone can serve as a testament to http://cialiscoupon-cheapstore.com/ Coughlin’s “Player First” approach. Not hard to see that player’s had a great appreciation for their coach too as Eli bid his only NFL head coach a teary-eyed farewell, earlier this week.

Among the future Hall of Fame Coach’s accolades are holding http://viagraforsale-brandorrx.com/ the second-longest tenure as a HC in Giants franchise history, ranking 11th in All-Time Career Wins as a coach, and being one of only thirteen coaches in NFL History to win multiple Super Bowls. For bringing out the best in all of your players, for bringing home two Vince Lombardi Trophies, and making us believe that you’d do so every four years that remained with the ‘G Men,’ we say Thank You, Tom.

MONDAY MOTIVATION

stuartscott-2

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the great Stuart Scott’s passing. It goes without saying that whenever someone loses their battle with cancer, it has an unforgettable domino effect on that person’s family and friends. But in the case of the ESPN reporter, the entire sports world, fans included, felt the earth trembling beneath them. The man known as “the Coolest Anchor in Television” was so closely associated with sports, it seemed as if he was a part of your favorite team. But, we should remember that Stuart Scott was never defeated by cancer. In his acceptance speech for the Jimmy V award at the ESPYs in 2014, he declared triumphantly “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” That alone serves as a testament to the great job he did of kicking cancer’s ass. RIP BooYah, you will be missed.

The generic cialis reviews 4th overall viagra coupon pick weathered the storm of boos that rained down on the night of the 2015 Draft phenomenally. He’s even managed to turn many of those boos into into cheers.

Back in July, the Sports World was stunned by Phil Jackson’s decision to acquire the slim prospect. Haunted by the many failures of the Knicks’ nightmare of a season, NBA fans and journalists alike, namely Stephen A. Smith, were completely caught by surprise at the fact that New York’s President would seemingly opt to build around a “project” than go with someone who was “NBA-ready.”

No one could’ve predicted how wrong they were.

NIGEL SYLVESTER’S “GO!”|NEW YORK CITY

@NigelSylvester, a good friend of Reed Space paid us a quick visit before the summer was over. He rode his bike in and out of the store in about 6 seconds! We later found out that he was putting together a video-part called ‘GO!‘ where he took viewers on a ride with him through NYC to meet friends, film, and do a bit a sight seeing. Cruise with the Pyradice biker to see the city through his eyes.

A special thank you to the homie Nigel Sylvester for letting us be a part of this dope project.

YANKEES VS METS II: HOW FAR WILL THE METS GO?

Alex Rodriguez

The New York Yankees had their playoff hopes crushed by the Houston Astros in a 3-0 shutout. The day after news broke that Yankee-ace CC Sabathia was checking into rehab, a struggling Masahiro Tanaka failed to hold off a resilient Houston team in the ALWC game–not to mention A-Rod struck out twice in an 0 for 4 outing. It looks like there won’t be a repeat of the 2000 World Series after all. But, the champagne continues to pour for the Queens-faithful.

The Mets have solidified themselves as the best team in New York this year, but they’re not done yet. Terry Collins and the NL-East Champions will take the field at Dodger Stadium on Friday with the hopes of making a push for the World Series. There is hope yet for the Mets to achieve this feat with their first playoff appearance since 2006. Still, the question remains, how far will the Mets go? With the great pitching of Zach Greinke and  3-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw, it looks like Amazins’ may have their work cut out for them.

YANKEES VS METS: WHO’S THE BIG APPLE’S BEST?

For decades these two franchises have battled to see who’s really the city’s best. Although the Yankees are by far the more storied team, the Mets pride themselves on their wins over their hometown rivals in the “Subway Series.” This season, both franchises have returned to the Major League Playoffs after brief hiatuses and have the chance to bring another championship to New York City. Still, the question remains: Who is the best in the city? Ultimately, this question will be answered by who makes it deeper into the Playoffs. So who’s it going to be? Will it be the 10,000 win franchise from the Bronx, or the 2015 NL-East Champions from Queens? We asked around the shop to see who everyone’s got their bets on:

Tony: Mets

Inten: Mets

Ted: Yankees

Eric: Mets

Juan: Yankees

Jennings: Yankees

Looks like only time will tell and break the tie we’ve got in the shop. All in all, it is great to see both of our city’s teams celebrate regular season success. Let’s see if they can bring the championship back to the five boroughs! Who knows, maybe we’ll even have a repeat of the 2000 MLB World Series!
