Recently we started working with The Harlem Children’s Zone and their Learn To Earn Program. It’s a great program that gives at-risk kids an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and gain guidance from real life professionals.
I thought it would be cool to offer the kids an opportunity to express their ideas and concepts on a t-shirt…Kinda like I did when I started Staple. So I’ve been working with them for the past few months on key topics like concept design, graphic design, production, silkscreening, sales, messaging and marketing. The final tees will them be viewable on Staple and Reed Space’s websites for a week so that the entire world can vote on their favorites. The winning design will be produced by us and sold through Reed Space. The winning designer reaps the benefits of having their first t-shirt sold in an international setting and they get the profits as well! We’re having the award ceremony for each design this Wed the 29th at 5pm at Harlem Children’s Zone (300 West 134th St. NY, NY). Come through and support!

(The video team at HCZ even created this video teaser! So cool what these guys are doing!)
