Cozz is a force to be reckoned with and this SoundCloud Sunday, his latest project proves to be nothing short of proof.

The West Coast artist is back with his new mixtape ‘Nothin’ Personal’ and is as hungry and confident as ever. Cody Macc’s return to the mic wasn’t too long awaited as he offered brief glimpses of his promise and trademark aggression in the sequel to the Dreamville Records compilation, ‘Revenge of the Dreamers II.’ The widely praised EP received positive reviews but the spotlight was predominantly on Cozz who lyrically outshined his label-mates and even the label’s founder, J. Cole. The Los Angeles-emcee was vastly described as the MVP of the second ‘Revenge’ tape–and he had a lot more vengeance left over.

Cozz starts off the tape with a wake up call for everyone who’s been sleeping on him. After declaring that his New Year’s Resolution was to make his stamp, he proceeded on his conquest of 2016. The title serves as a PSA and fair warning to others in the game that his forthcomin domination this year is nothing personal. Entirely produced by his Committee Records partner Meez, this second mixtape hears Cody Macc channel his anger, frustration and raw emotion over bone-chilling, sample driven beats. Still as a part-time crooner on tracks like “Choice Today,” “Grey Goose,” and “Grow,” Cozz’s storytelling and ability to capture the ambiance of the setting prevail.
